Comenius
Within the framework of COMENIUS, projects involving schools from different European countries receive financial support from the European Union. The essential purpose of COMENIUS is to promote communication and student exchanges within the European Union.
Projects at Casimirianum:
- 2016/19: Making school a home for each student – unity in diversity
- 2013/15: Generations of families - voices of Europe between 1914 and 2014
- 2010/12: Gender roles through time and place - a travelling exhibition
Unity in diversity (2016/19)
The participating year 10 students look up methods and possibilities for integrating and including different students.
Every participating country has chosen its own target group in order to develop its own ideas on how to achieve the best integration and inclusion. At Casimirianum the focus will be on year 5 and year 10 students. Every school has also chosen a special field of integration and inclusion. The German students work on free-time activities.
In workshops, students deal with general questions concerning inclusion and integration at a school. They also create an inventory of existing methods of integration or inclusion in the field chosen by the host country which will be visited next. The students will use the inventories created by the guests to develop further methods which will be tested and evaluated.
The results will be published on eTwinning, a European communication platform. At the same time a calendar and a brochure are being created.
